We are looking for a Data Expert who will work on various projects with clients from the government technology industry and different data-related problems to solve. Reporting directly to the Product Owner and serving as a dedicated member of the project team the ideal candidate is adept at overseeing data-related aspects of AI/ML projects, particularly focused on the analysis of logs from various applications and generating reports from them for POs.

What is it all about?

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to understand project objectives, requirements, and timelines
• Analyze logs generated by applications on the Government platform to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
• Develop and implement data processing pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Elastic Search
• Utilize advanced querying and analytical techniques to derive insights from large datasets
• Work in conjunction with the development team to integrate data-driven solutions into existing infrastructure
• Provide regular updates on project progress, including insights, findings, and potential challenges, to stakeholders
• Collaborate effectively with other team members, including the Product Owner and third-party collaborators, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of project tasks.

What do we expect from you?

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with NoSQL databases
• Advanced knowledge of Python
• Strong experience with ETL processes
• Experienced with the different databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB…)
• Proficiency in data analysis, including experience with data manipulation, querying, and visualization techniques
• Strong background in working with Elastic Search or similar distributed search and analytics engines
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and techniques, particularly in the context of anomaly detection and pattern recognition
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically and creatively
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven track record of working in a collaborative team environment, preferably within an Agile or Scrum framework
• Ability to analyze and solve complex business problems
• Desire to continuously develop and learn new skills
• Willingness to exchange knowledge, provide help, and collaborate with team members
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Ability to slice, estimate, and prioritize assigned work as well as deliver work done respecting given deadlines
• Advanced English language skills
• Ability to adapt to different tools and ways of working

Salary range
