Data Engineer (Mid/Senior)
Are you a proactive, team-oriented, and motivated Data Engineer (Mid or Senior) looking for your next challenge? If you enjoy building robust, high-throughput data platforms, optimizing complex pipelines under heavy load, and working with cutting-edge technologies—including GenAI and modern lakehouse architectures—we'd love to have you on board!
Your role
You will build and operate our client's data platform end-to-end, covering data ingestion, warehousing, lakehouse architecture, and platform operations.
Your primary focus will be designing and operating high-volume ingestion into ClickHouse from Kafka, BigQuery, Elasticsearch, cold storage, and third-party APIs. Beyond ingestion, you'll contribute to data modeling, pipeline development, data quality, observability, and platform reliability across the entire data stack.
As a Mid-level Data Engineer, you'll independently deliver well-defined pipelines with light guidance.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll own platform subsystems end-to-end, define engineering best practices, mentor teammates, and drive architectural decisions.

Experience ingesting data from analytical databases, search systems, cloud storage, and third-party APIs.
Strong Python skills for developing production-grade data pipelines.
ClickHouse & Kafka
Strong understanding of ClickHouse storage engines, primary and sorting key design, materialized views, and performance optimization.
Experience designing idempotent ingestion pipelines, handling deduplication, and troubleshooting production workloads.
Solid understanding of Kafka delivery semantics, schema registries, and backpressure management.
Engineering excellence
Experience integrating third-party APIs, including authentication, pagination, rate limiting, retries, error handling, and incremental data loading.
Experience building reliable, observable, and maintainable data systems with a focus on monitoring, reliability, and operational excellence.
Ways of working
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of your daily engineering workflow.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
